LevelRig covers the gear side of gaming (PC builds, handhelds, peripherals, chairs and desks) plus the games themselves: how to play them on PC, whether they're worth your time, and what's new. The goal is simple: help you spend your money and your evenings on the right thing the first time.

How we work
Most of what we publish is research, not a product sitting on our desk, and we're upfront about which is which. A verdict is built from four kinds of sources, cross-checked against each other:
- Official information: manufacturer spec sheets, publisher help centers, patch notes and system requirements.
- Independent testing: lab measurements and hands-on reviews from established outlets, always credited and linked in the article.
- Verified owners: long-term reports from buyers and players, weighed by how consistent they are.
- Price and availability: prices are dated, because they change.
Every test result or measurement in an article is credited to its source. Manufacturer claims are labeled as claims. Each review ends with what we couldn't verify, so you can see the limits of the analysis before you buy. When we do get hands-on with something ourselves, the article says so explicitly.
Editorial policy
- Independence. No brand pays for a review, a ranking or a verdict. Brands never see an article before it's published.
- Money. We earn commissions from some links, including game offers that pay when you install a game. That never changes a verdict or a ranking. Details are on our affiliate disclosure page.
- Updates. Guides carry the date they were last checked. When a story or a pick changes, we add a dated note saying what changed and why; we don't rewrite quietly.
- Corrections. If we get something wrong, we fix it and add a correction note at the bottom of the article.
- Free-to-play games. We judge them on the free path, and we say where spending starts to matter.
What we cover
- Reviews: single-product verdicts and head-to-head comparisons, with a clear rating and honest pros and cons.
- Guides: practical how-tos, from playing a mobile game on PC to building your first PC.
- Setup: putting gear together into a setup that actually works.
- News: hardware and game announcements, sourced to the original announcement.
