About LevelRig
LevelRig covers the gear side of gaming — PC builds, handhelds, peripherals, monitors, chairs and desks — plus coverage of specific games. The goal is simple: help you spend money on the right thing the first time, based on real data rather than marketing copy.
Who writes this
LevelRig is written under the byline Jason — 41, building and gaming on PC since the Pentium era, still testing gear and playing the games he covers. LevelRig is published by AZED LLC.
How we actually work
We're upfront about this: not every review on LevelRig is based on a product we've physically had in hand yet. Where that's the case, the article says so, and the verdict is built from verified manufacturer specs, independent expert reviews, and confirmed-purchase owner reports — synthesized and cross-checked, not copied. As we get hands-on with more gear, articles get upgraded to reflect direct testing, and we say so when that happens.
What we won't do: claim a test that didn't happen, or let an affiliate commission change a verdict. See our affiliate disclosure for exactly how we're compensated.
What we cover
- Reviews — single-product verdicts and head-to-head comparisons, with a clear rating and honest pros/cons.
- Guides — practical how-tos, from building your first PC to fixing a specific problem.
- Setup — putting gear together into an actual working setup, not just buying it.
- News — gaming hardware and game announcements worth knowing about.
