Valve hasn't announced a Steam Deck sale for Black Friday 2026 as of November 8, 2026. Black Friday falls on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30. According to Gaming Route, a Steamworks developer post dated July 15 says Valve will highlight games with Black Friday discounts in its Special Offers hub, with dates to come. We couldn't read the post ourselves. It reportedly says nothing about hardware.
Valve sells the Deck directly through the Steam store, and we found no Amazon listing sold by Valve. Treat any Amazon listing as a third-party seller. A Black Friday Deck deal, if one comes, would appear on Steam first.
Is the Steam Deck OLED on Sale Now? What's Confirmed
- No discount on the new OLED models. Steam's US store listed both at full price on November 8, 2026.
- Only the OLED is in production. Valve stopped making the last LCD model, the 256GB, in December 2025. Its store page said it would be unavailable once sold out (GamingOnLinux). That is the model Valve discounted in 2025.
- Valve's 2025 Black Friday cut skipped the OLED. PC Guide reported that only the 256GB LCD was discounted; neither OLED model was.
Steam Deck Black Friday Price Check (November 8, 2026)
| Model | US price | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Steam Deck OLED 512GB | $789 | Steam store, Nov 8, 2026, no discount |
| Steam Deck OLED 1TB | $949 | Steam store, Nov 8, 2026, no discount |
| Valve Steam Deck Docking Station | $79, no discount | Steam store data, Nov 8, 2026 |
Valve raised the Deck from $549 and $649 in May, citing memory and storage costs, per gHacks. The third-party tracker Steam Hardware Stock adds that the 512GB OLED was in stock in most countries on November 8.
Does the Steam Deck Go On Sale? What Valve Did in Past Years
Valve's hardware sales have been narrow and aimed at the oldest model.
| Year | What happened | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 256GB LCD cut 20%, from $399 to $319.20, until December 1. OLED models not discounted. | PC Guide |
| 2024 | Autumn Sale, November 27 to December 4: LCD 512GB at $336.75 (25% off), LCD 64GB at $296.65. No OLED discount listed. | Notebookcheck |
| 2023 | The OLED launched November 16 at $549 and $649. dbltap's 2023 Black Friday roundup lists no Valve-run Deck discount. | dbltap |
The pattern: in these reports, Valve never discounted the OLED in a Black Friday window. The discounts hit LCD models, and those are gone. So for "Steam Deck OLED Black Friday," there is no precedent to point to.
When Is the Steam Autumn Sale in 2026?
PlayNews reports that Valve scheduled the 2026 Autumn Sale for October 1 to 8. We haven't confirmed the dates on Valve's own calendar. If that's right, the sale is over. In 2024 it ran in Thanksgiving week, and the Deck discount came with it. The next seasonal sale is the Winter Sale, December 17 to January 4, 2027, per Valve's events calendar, which we haven't re-checked.
What We Don't Know Yet
- Whether Valve will discount the OLED at all. It hasn't said, and we found no sign it announces Deck deals far ahead.
- Whether Valve will run its own Black Friday event. Gaming Route says Valve ran Special Offers from November 24 to December 1 in 2025. For 2026, dates are unpublished.
- Refurbished stock and prices. Valve sells certified refurbished units below new prices, per Dexerto's May report. Dexerto reported $629 (512GB) and $759 (1TB) when the refurbished store restocked after the May rise. Current refurbished prices aren't confirmed. Steam Hardware Stock, a third-party tracker, showed refurbished units out of stock in every country on November 8. We couldn't check Valve's refurbished store directly.
What It Means for You
This section is analysis. The box for "Valve discounts a Deck for Black Friday" in my tracker stays unchecked until Valve says something. Valve's past cuts targeted a model that no longer exists, so a cut on the OLED would be new behavior. Don't plan around it.
If you want a Deck, watch Steam's store page and Valve's refurbished stock, not retailers. Skip any third-party listing above Valve's price. Our Steam Deck OLED review covers whether the OLED is worth $789.
Accessories are the safer place for Black Friday deals, and a better use of money if you already own a Deck. Our accessories roundup has the full list, including the best microSD card for Steam Deck. These are the ones to watch. I couldn't read the Amazon pages on November 8, so there are no current prices:
- Samsung PRO Plus 512GB microSD: PCGamesN's best-overall microSD pick, and 512GB is the size it recommends.
- JSAUX Carrying Case: $24 to $28 in September 2026, per our case review.
- Anker 45W USB-C charger: a spare brick that meets Valve's 45W spec.
- UGREEN 9-in-1 dock: $60 regular per Gizmodo in July 2026. Pocket Tactics showed $39.98 in January 2026, so check the current price. See our dock guide for ports.
Check the price at Amazon, and compare it with the regular price above. A "deal" that matches the usual price isn't one.
